Title: Director, Product Marketing

About the Job:

This role will be responsible for telling the market (and company) the story of the product. As chief product advocate, this role is responsible for understanding the product feature set and its benefits and clearly articulating the value proposition delivered through innovative and compelling deliverables such as messaging, marketing collateral, sales materials and thought leadership content. This is a key role for Vbrick's go-to-market team and will work collaboratively with Sales, Partner, Product Management, Marketing Communications, Demand Generation, and other teams to drive growth and customer success.

This position can be located near our Herndon, VA office or can can be remote on the East Coast.

What you'll do:

Messaging: Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market

Content: Create content (e.g. data sheets, infographics, solution briefs, white papers, user guides, web tutorials, web content, presentations, sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, release announcements) to articulate the benefits of the product to the world.

Sales enablement: With the Product Management team communicate the value proposition of the product to the sales team and develop the sales tools and training that support the selling process of the product. Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.

Partner: With the Business Development team communicate the value proposition of the product to partner sales teams and develop the content and tools to enable partner sales teams.

Product launch: Plan the launch of new related products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan with Product Management

Customer Intelligence: Be the expert on buyers of the product, how they buy and their buying criteria

Market/Competitor Intelligence: Be the expert on competition. Follow and analyze market trends to position the product and identify new required capabilities.

Awareness: Support awareness and educational activities including webinars, events, demand generation, and customer case studies. Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of the product

Demand Generation: Work with demand generation to ensure content needs are being met and to define programs to promote product and its value proposition and benefits to target markets.

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a technical discipline or equivalent business experience

5-8 years experience in marketing enterprise software.

Experience in managing major product releases within an enterprise software company

Proven success in translating technical elements into business value messages and to create and execute product marketing strategies and materials for enterprise software

Experience in market analysis and segmentation

Able to communicate persuasively and precisely - excellent written and oral communication skills

Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced software environment with a drive to take on new challenges

Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and aggressive high growth environment

Creative and analytical mind and strong quantitative skills

Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation applications.
