Position: Senior Sales Engineer

About the Job:

Vbrick is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to lead technical pre-sales engagements with Fortune 1000 customers. This role serves the critical function of overseeing the entire technical solution sales lifecycle of Vbrick customers. Experience with cloud hybrid solution sales involving cloud SaaS services and premise-based software and infrastructure components is a must, and includes network video experience; Cisco or other vendor unified communications platforms.


  • Directly support targeted pre-sales opportunities; new and existing customers
  • Contribute to team selling approach with assigned regional Account Executive(s)
  • Drive solution development; mapping customer requirements to Rev functionality
  • Define and scope product solution architecture, perform product demonstrations
  • Facilitate solution whiteboarding and technical sessions with Customer or Partner
  • Scope, define, and directly support customer solution validation efforts (PoCs)
  • Provide technical responses for RFXs, bids and proposals to include creation of BoMs
  • Channel Partner technical enablement on how to use and sell Vbrick products
  • Interfacing with Product and Product Marketing to maximize messaging, sales and client acquisition
  • Communicate customer and field engineering knowledge and feedback to internal resources
  • Communicate and facilitate joint development with partners in a technical capacity
  • Provide regional tradeshow support as required


  • BS / BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years experience as technical sales in SaaS organization, preferably network video
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle as well as technical sales
  • Excellent customer-facing skills; superb presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated track-record of interfacing with enterprise clients as confident trusted advisor
  • Practice consultative solution sales approach; requirements definition and documentation (Visio)
  • Successfully handle the ever-changing landscape of sales, Vbrick product, and enterprise video markets
  • Experience and / or significant knowledge of:
    • Network streaming media; live and on demand use cases and workflows
    • Enterprise network architecture / infrastructure
    • Enterprise information security process and review
    • Internet web application (SaaS) and network topology
  • Experience with at least two of the following products or technologies:
    • Unified communications platforms; Cisco, Zoom, Microsoft
    • Video stream codecs and protocols; H.264, MPEG4, HLS, DASH, RTMP / RTSP
    • Video Networking; unicast, multicast, WebRTC, bandwidth / bit rate, firewalls, IP routing, caching
    • Cloud computing; AWS web services, infosec review, web service APIs
    • Enterprise IT infrastructure; storage (NAS / SAN), WAN optimization, virtual computing (VM)
  • Strong work ethic, detailed oriented, and a "get-the-job-done" attitude are key
