Director Corporate Communications

We're on an exciting growth journey and we want to tell the world who we are, what we do, and what makes us the leader in the enterprise video solutions market. Reporting to the CMO, the Director of Corporate Communications will have a strong expertise in Public Relations and Social strategy - be a storyteller and relationship extraordinaire - that will help catapult our brand footprint to the next level. If you like rolling up your sleeves, collaborating with the executive team, and working cross functionally to drive a differentiated corporate narrative through media and other communications channels, then we want to speak with you!

Location: Remote - East Coast or Central Time Zones


What you'll do:

  • Responsible for VBrick's external communications strategy, public relations, social media and influencer programs
  • Build and manage a media relations function, with a focus on positioning the company as a leader in the Enterprise Video solutions market
  • Craft press releases and story pitches that are clear, rich with detail, interesting and relevant to the audience
  • Design communication strategies that build corporate awareness, create engagement opportunities and drive brand growth among relevant audiences
  • Drive thought-leadership to establish our differentiated position in the market
  • Create and execute upon external communications across earned, owned and paid media
  • Collaborate cross functionally with colleagues to distribute relevant company information through press releases, story pitches to journalists, blog posts, multimedia content, presentations, bylines and other channels
  • Manage writers/content creators and assist in crafting high quality content for the right audience including website copy, social media, digital ads, messages/talking points and presentations
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar mapped to business objectives, key announcements, and events
  • Assist with internal communications initiatives as needed

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of direct experience building the development and implementation of corporate content in a B2B enterprise software either in-house or at a PR agency
  • 3+ years of experience managing writers/content creators
  • Thoroughly experienced in writing high quality content, including successful pitches to editors, and media specialists
  • Experience integrating an overarching PR & Social strategy aligned with the company's marketing goals, particularly through events, digital communications and earned media
  • Hands-on in all areas of execution, including content-creation, calendaring, researching, and using technology to build audiences in social media channels
  • Experience building audiences across social media channels and community platforms
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communications and presentation skills with impeccable editing and proofing skills a must
  • Expertise in the enterprise video space a huge bonus!
  • Creative, high energy with a can-do attitude and a sense of humor essential
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
